LONDON BRIDGE HAS FINALLY FALLEN

 Remember the song we used to sing as kids?

It goes....London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down, London bridge is falling down,,,my fair lady,

London bridge has actually been falling down for a while now....but one person kept it in check and always puts things back together. She is....her majesty Queen Elizabeth, the longest serving head of state....that is until her death.

This woman in question is  seen differently...and perceived differently by different people.    To some she's a mother, to some she's a grand mother, to some she's even a great grandmother, to some she's a queen, to some she's family, to some she's a saviour, to others she's an oppressor.   

   To the blacks....{NIGERIANS}well she has been seen as.....well our colonial master. Yes....we were colonised by great Britain....although not this generation witnessed it, but you know....news goes around, plus we take history as one of our major courses.

 Even though this generation didn't directly suffer this oppression and slavery, our great grand parents did....and, most of us are...well, not good at forgiving. I personally have a story to tell about the slavery period because my grand uncle was involved....thats a story for another day tho.

   Anyways, in the face of how bad the queen looks like in history, it was actually her ancestors that perpetrated the acts, mostly.  The queen has helped in the civilisation of Nigeria and i think we owe her one.

    For what its worth, She was a great leader.
